Page 2 - construction continues from page 1
This is the first inner skin to be fixed to the frame. Some screws have been used as an easy way of securing the centre flat panel first, plus a heap at top and bottom to make sure of an air tight joint. None of which will be seen after the second skin is applied as below.
Second skin, this time the centre flat is screwed from the rear - so fixings will not be apparent. I thought finding this precut board was the solution to everything, however because the kerfs are uniformly spaced when bent the board wants to curve in a uniform curve and not to my shallow arc’s - hence the addition of clamps just to “induce” the shape.
PMS’s as open baffle speakers ... and they are not bad. Really the only purpose of this is to test all the hardware that I have sat around for over a year now - so drivers work and crossovers - cross over? It’ll be really interesting to hear the difference with the backs on and ports in!
