One very happy owner

I have been running these TL’s as my main set for about 4 months now (March 2005) and I think they are “Stunnin” speakers. I’ve see comments that they are sound “hard” but this is because they are absolutely revealing and so do not carry any “truck” with bad source or recordings.

I use all Musical Fidelity equipment and this is a typical British high quality “warm” sound which definitely helps in this case. I am sure they could be a real problem with “cold/sharp” sounding electronics. You could spend a fortune on a good front end for these beauties.

They still stop me in my tracks and make me listen to old CD’s I though I knew. If I had to be totally honest due to the above I’d like them to be just a tad “softer” but then again they wouldn’t be the same brilliant speaker.

March 2007 - This is the original manufacturers design, as good as it is there is basic design errors resulting in a less than perfect solution. I would recommend that if you are considering building a Thor set, have a look at my Small Thor project for further details ..
